Gustavo has been playing guitar since the age of 10, beginning his musical journey in his native Peru. He studied privately under the renowned Jorge Madueno, an accomplished musician with training from the Juilliard School of Music. His passion for music led him to South Florida, where he spent a decade honing his craft, attending Miami Dade College (MDCC) and Florida International University (FIU) to study jazz performance.
As a performer, Gustavo has traveled extensively across South and Central America, collaborating with Peruvian jazz fusion legend Manuel Miranda and other top artists from Peru. In South Florida, he was a sought-after guitarist, performing with top orchestras, jazz ensembles, and high-energy Top 40s groups, showcasing his versatility across multiple genres.
In 2017, Gustavo relocated to California to pursue his other artistic passion: film scoring. He recently earned a certificate in Film Scoring from UCLA, with a specialization in Music Supervision, further deepening his expertise in composing for visual media. Now based in California, he is determined to make an impact in both the music and film industries.
With a strong work ethic, deep professionalism, and an unwavering love for music, Gustavo is always eager to connect with talented musicians and share the joy of music with the world. Whether on stage or in the studio, he continues to inspire audiences and collaborators alike through his artistry and dedication.
